French Bulldogs come in a variety of different colors and patterns. These can make them a very unique addition to your family. Regardless of what kind of French Bulldog you are looking for, be sure to take care of their coat properly so that they stay healthy.
There are several standard colors that you can choose from, including fawn, black, cream and rarer ones like blue and lilac. Some of these colors are very similar to each other, and it can be difficult for an untrained eye to tell them apart.
Fawn – Also known as warm beige or apricot, fawn is one of the most popular French Bulldog Tale, and is considered an AKC approved color. It is a very popular choice because of its gentle and mild temperament, as well as its beautiful appearance.
Red – Another AKC approved color, red is a very popular choice amongst French Bulldog lovers because of its beauty and mild temperament. It is a warm and vibrant shade that looks beautiful on all types of skin.
Cream – This is one of the most common French Bulldog colors, and it’s an AKC approved color. The color is light and resembles white, but it’s not white like a snowy white, but rather more of an eggshell color.
Tan – French Bulldogs with a tan coat have black furs with reddish tan markings on their cheeks, above their eyes, on their bellies and inside their legs. The tan coloring of these dogs is beautiful and adds a rustic tone to their look.
Brindle – You’ll more likely see a brindle French Bulldog in the show ring than any other colored coat, as they tend to have darker strands mixed with lighter strands.
Lilac – A more rare and less common French Bulldog color, lilac is becoming more and more popular with breeders and adopters in recent years. These puppies are a mix of a light fawn color with the blue parts around their muzzle and eyes that you typically find in a blue Frenchie, but it’s a very beautiful color.
Solid Black – A very rare color, solid black is a tiger brindle with no stripes. These puppies have a very subtle appearance but as they age, they will start to show some brindle stripes.
Other Disqualifying Coat Colors – Liver, black and tan and solid black are not allowed in the show ring, and you can’t show these kinds of dogs. The other disqualifying colors are mouse and spotted.
These French Bulldog colors are a lot more expensive than other dog breeds. It’s important to consider what the cost of health care will be for these dogs, as well as their maintenance, before you decide to purchase them.
Some of these colors can be very susceptible to health issues, so it’s a good idea to make sure that you get a dog from a reputable breeder who will take proper care of them. This will help ensure that they stay healthy and happy for many years to come!
